Oak Sample

Oak is a very tall slow growing tree which can reach heights of up to 90ft. Oak has a recognisable image of wide stretched branched attached to a sturdy or "thick" trunk, producing a variety of different shaped acorns. Different species of Oak include: white, English, Northern Red and Black.

This is a fine building material - being of great strength and stability. It is also a fine material for woodturning, which is evident from the quality of the wood in the finished pieces.
