About Us

CASTLEGROVE CRAFTS is located in a quite rural area in the West of Ireland. It takes it's name from the local castle, which was once inhabited by Norman settlers, and stands today surrounded by a thick covering of trees.

All of the trees, which are used in the making of the items on this page, are guaranteed to have fallen due to storm or are already dead, when they are taken for turning. As all of the items are handcrafted no two pieces are every exactly the same.

The woodturner has taken this on as a hobby and many of the pieces have been produced in his spare time. The workshop stands surrounded by many healthy specimens of trees which are featured, on this website.
